MQ Hörreise

Using words for a visual discipline such as architecture seems to be at first glance a certain artificial difficulty. However, having words for architectural topics is not only a „cruel necessity in order to communicate ideas for people who cannot read drawings. It also validates that part of work which is perhaps inadequately described as "thinking".

The radio play deals with the role of function in architecture with a closer look on the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna. The format allows room to the different voices of the complex and reflects in this way its diversity and heterogeneity as well as its history. The listener is taken on a journey through the MQ in which leaps in space and time are possible due to the means of the medium radio.
